2 WEEKS LEFT!!!
Ok so this week has really been a pretty normal week in the MTC. We have been studying Korean consistently and we leave for Korea in 2 WEEKS!! We started skype TRC this week and let's just say that it was very interesting. So we planned our lesson and we were feeling really confident. And once we sat down at the computer it was interesting. We mustered our way through the lesson and I think that we were able to get our message across to her, but it was so hard to actually understand her. She did not sound like she was speaking Korean, but some weird language that they did not teach us.
For some reason this week me and my companion have had to be in a rush everywhere we are going. We were going to go to choir practice and we found out that we both had packages in the mail and we had to get them before choir practice and we just got our food for dinner and we had about 5 minutes to eat and to go to choir and get our packages. And I am telling you I have never eaten a wrap so fast. I ate it in less than a minute and a half. Thanks for the packages by the way! And then we had to go to choir practice a different day and I was eating my a piece of cheesecake and I only wanted one bite, but instead my companion took my plate and stuck my fork into the cheesecake and ran off with my tray and I didn't know what to do so in a panic i just shoved the cheesecake into my mouth because they don't have trash cans anywhere! Well so we ran out of the cafeteria and my mouth was still full of cheesecake trying to get everything done that we needed to it was interesting.
This week has been pretty boring, sorry! We are going to get our travels plans sometimes this week. So we are super excited about that!!

Struggle is Real
WE GOT OUR KOREAN NAME TAGS THIS WEEK!!!! AHH it makes it so real that we are going to Korea soon. This week our senior district left! So that means that we are the next ones going to Korea! They have the tradition here that when the senior district leaves you have to write them a song and sing it to them Sunday night. So because I am the least musical, I get put in charge of the song. But luckily I had one of our new missionaries, who is super musical, help me with the song. And it turned out pretty cool and me and my companion rapped the song. It pretty much sounded like two white girls rapping, but it was so fun.
This week we have been struggling with our lessons. Our first lesson this week was just a disaster (like the worst lesson we have ever taught!!). First we were tried to tell him that God wants us to go to church, but because we used the wrong "want" form and we ended up saying the God wants to go to church. Our investigator kept asking us, "Why does god want to go to church?" But we thought he was saying "Why does god want us to go to church?" I was feeling so confident that I actually understood what he was saying, so I was saying things to answer him like to be obedient, to follow commandments, to feel the spirit etc. But I apparently did not understand what he was saying. We probably sat there for a good 20 mins having him say the same question and just looking like deers in headlights trying to figure out why he was not understanding us. Finally he dropped the questions and we just wanted to wrap up the lesson because it was just painful. So I had him read 2 Nephi 2:28. But since Korean scriptures look just like a two year old wrote them. I accidentally flipped to Jacob and had him ready Jacob 2:28. Which is a verse about whores and abominations. And when he started to read the verse he slowly looks up at the end of the scripture with huge wide eyes and in complete shock. And me and my companion were kinda in a panic. Then I leaned forward to take the scriptures from him to see what was going on. And I literally fell out of my desk and he just looks at me with a really confused look on his face and asks, "Are you ok?" Meanwhile my companion is just sitting in her desk trying so hard not to laugh.
We decided to teach the same lesson again this week to our other investigator, but not mess it up this time. Before we went into the lesson we prayed so hard that we wouldn't not mess this one up... the lesson was going well until I had to ask him to read a verse. And my mind went completely blank and I could not get the numbers right. I was jumping from English to Chinese to Korean and I just could not get them right in any language. It was just a hot mess. And my companion while I am doing this is trying to not laugh. But after me struggling for so long I finally got through it. And two minutes latter it's up to me again to tell him to read about 11 verses (side not:we don't know how to say the word through so we usually just say all the numbers) and I just went completely white looking at my scriptures knowing I have to say all of those verses. And I just turned to my companion completely terrified. And she ends not being able to hold it together and just starts laughing and she could not stop laughing. And because of this my teacher and I start laughing and it took about five minutes just for our teacher to pull himself together and it was still hard for him to look at us during the rest of the lesson without laughing. Let's just say the struggle is real over in the Korean district in the MTC.
We were able to hear from Elder Renlund the newest 12th Apostle this week!! Interesting fact is that he was the 100th Apostle ordained in this Dispensation. He talked about faith and how we need to have faith in ourselves and the Lord. It was so cool hearing from an apostle of the Lord.
We only have Three weeks left in the MTC!!!!

Welcome to the MTC
The first day at the MTC was very busy you get moved around
from place to place and you just keep getting a lot of the same information you
have heard before repeated back to you. And EVERYONE says "welcome to the
MTC" and the first couple of times it seems really nice but after 300 time
of hearing it you are done with it. So my companion is Sis. Brady she is from Texas and i love her. We get along so well and it is great. So the first day at
the MTC they put you in your class to start learning your language and by the
end of the day we knew the korean alphabet and they only speak to you in korean
so I am getting really good at charades. We pretty much are in the class room
all day either studying or studying and if were really lucky we get to study. But its great we can really tell that the gift of tongues is real because you
learn so much in such a little time of only one week. My district is just me
and my companion and Elder Paul. So we are going strong with just the three of
us. But its really nice because we get more one on one attention from our
teachers. I get to play volleyball everyday and i love it because we are
actually not studying during that time!! And the food here is lets just say
interesting.... so I'm going strong with the cereal and salads. Our Zone is so
cool. We are half english speaking and half native koreans. Korea doesn't have
a MTC so when people in korea get called to go to korea they come to the provo
MTC to learn to be a missionary and get sent out to provo utah for three weeks
and then they ship them back to korea. So its super cool to try and talk to
them and learn more korean or how to actually speak korean. Our schedules here
in the MTC are super booked. We really don't have anytime to ourselves we are
seriously going from one thing to another and we are in the class room for like
12 hours a day. But its good because we are learning the language but i'm
slowly dying at the same time because I just want to move around!!!! For our Sunday devotional we had the BYU's men's choir come and sing to us and it was
so cool and we were not in the classroom!!!!! And on Sundays we got to hear from
one of the 70s and we sang in the choir because my district in musical and i am
not but it was really fun. I have been able to play volleyball this week
everyday so gym time is my favorite because i can actually move. But this week
is great i am not going to lie the MTC is super hard and i am more stressed out
then i have ever been but i am loving it!! So if you want send me packages and
mail because i seriously love getting them!!
